Product Description

HDPE 16 mil Turbo Sheet is a high performance slab vapor retarder and waterproofing protection sheet developed for the construction industry to retard moisture migration through concrete slabs. It is also used to control radon, methane, sulphates and other soil contaminants.

HDPE 16mil Turbo Sheet is made with only high-grade virgin polyolefin resins. The manufacturing process for HDPE 16 mil Turbo Sheet is a first melt, three layer, co-extruded, cross-laminated system. HDPE 16 mil Turbo Sheet is manufactured in 12.75 ft x 150 ft rolls (1913 ft²). HDPE 16 mil Turbo sheet weighs approximately 142 lbs per roll

HDPE 16 mil Turbo sheet is applied over Turbo-Seal in horizontal and vertical applications as a protection barrier. Press HDPE 16 mil Turbo sheet into applied Turbo-Seal, overlapping seams a minimum of 6 inches and seal with RSG-Barrier Sealing Tape or heat weld. All penetrations must be sealed with a dual layer of Turbo-Seal and 16 mil Turbo sheet and sealed with RSG-Barrier Sealing Tape or heat weld.

For Blind Side applications, mechanically fasten HDPE 16 mil Turbo sheet to the base wall, apply Turbo-Seal, imbed Miracle Mesh and cover with Water Soluble Film.

HDPE 16 mil Turbo sheet can also be used as a Class A vapor barrier. Install over tamped earth, sand or aggregate base by unrolling and completely covering area to receive building slab or specified area. Overlap all seams a minimum of 6 inches and seal with RSG-Barrier Sealing Tape or heat weld. All penetrations must be sealed with HDPE 16 mil Turbo sheet and RSG-Barrier Sealing Tape per manufacturer’s recommendations.
